the rainyware launcher+frogies arcade combo
rainyware launcher can’t get around firewall systems. it only gets around the extension-based securly classroom extension (the teacher see your screen software).
a proxy is designed to get around firewalls by communicating through a separate server, the ones that aren’t blocked works. when a proxy (such as frogiesarcade) is combined with the about:blank launcher, you get the best of both worlds and can bypass the screen seeing and firewall.
this was REVOLUTIONARY, now all of a sudden i can have discord that can’t be seen by securly, i sure hope someone doesn’t abuse this combo!
the part where somebody abused the combo
at the end of april it was discovered that someone (not dropping names) and his band of goons was using the combo to access PORN on their school chromebooks, and then distribute it over the school-managed google chat.
and when the ring leader was questioned, he proceeded to pull out his classic trick of “snitching on everyone else so you get in SLIGHTLY less trouble” and gave admins a list of 8 people who had rainyware launcher.
now rainyware was involved, but what about starlight? well stuff went places that’s all i’m gonna say.
all in all i got charged with a cyber crime and earned a free vacation cuz of a built-in chrome security feature
also btw that kid got expelled
